Our story

You Are, Inc. is an intergenerational, interdenominational non-profit ministry. We exist to create spaces and resources for women and families to encounter God, connect with one another, and to be equipped and empowered to advance God’s Kingdom in their own spheres of influence and impact future generations.

It all began with a moment in 2013, when our Founder and Executive Director, Stephanie Lee, felt God leading her to launch a gathering for women that would stretch across generations and denominations, all centered on Jesus Christ. She began by bringing a small group of women from the Brazos Valley together to pray for our community and direction for how this gathering could look. All she knew was that it was to be a place where women could come together and not just talk about God, but engage with Him. This would be a place where, as we worship, learn, and pray together, our attention and affection would be directed towards God, and women would see God for who He is and respond, “God, You are loving. You are just. You are kind.” A gathering from women from all generations and denominations to come around the beauty of Jesus and the power of His love and life-changing Good News.

As this team of women began to pray and seek God together, You Are Conference took shape. The first You Are Conference was in October of 2014 and abundantly exceeded the team's expectations. There were testimonies of women deciding to follow Jesus in full surrender, repentance, and new freedom. We witnessed God healing families, spiritual wounding, and physical sickness. After the first gathering our team felt God clearly leading us to move forward and we have been privileged to annually host a women’s conference in College Station since.

Over the years, we have grown beyond an annual conference, becoming a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2018. You Are, Inc. is the umbrella for our current ministry arms: You Are Conference, Living Room Sessions, The Greenhouse, and The Free One. Each ministry creates spaces and resources that line up with our core mission. You can learn about each of these ministries below.

We are blown away at all God has led us into and in many ways, feel like we are just at the beginning. We couldn’t be more expectant for what is ahead for You Are, Inc and invite you to join us as we continue to host spaces and provide resources for us all to come together, worship God, and be free to fulfill His calling on our lives.
